Thank you for visiting Going Coastal Fabrics! My name is Kristin and I am proud to offer a selection of premium quality, non-toxic fabrics for sewing, quilting, and crafting. Being a mother of two young children inspires my everyday living. When I was pregnant with my first child it was important for me to source organic fabrics for the nursery decor. I wanted to ensure that the fabrics touching his delicate skin were safe and non-toxic. I had to travel a long way to find a shop carrying organic fabrics and now I'm happy to offer these fabrics online with delivery to your home. Using sustainable and eco-friendly products for my home is important to me. GOTS organic and OEKO-TEX fabrics are what I want for my family and that's why Going Coastal Fabrics exists.
My goals through Going Coastal Fabrics are to offer non-toxic fabrics and to give back. Being a socially responsible company is a way to show my children how to give back and help others. Going Coastal Fabrics is proud to donate 5% of all sales to a different charity each month. Some of the charities we have supported include: Feeding America, The Leadership Conference Education Fund, Reach Out and Read, The Celiac Disease Foundation, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

- I learned to sew in 2010 when I teamed up with several quilters at my job (I used to work in Human Resources). They taught me to sew and we created community quilts together during our lunch hour that we donated to charity.
- I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
- This is my second shop, my first shop was called Going Coastal Baby and I made baby bibs, burp cloths and quilts that I sold on Etsy and at craft fairs.
- I love to read. My favorites authors are Jane Austen and Liane Moriarty and I'm a Harry Potter fan (Hufflepuff).
- I love to play tennis.
I am so grateful that you have visited my shop. Thank you for supporting my small business!
